WARRANTY

Scope Technologies warranties its manufactured products against defects of material and workmanship under normal use and service to the original buyer for 5 years. Component parts furnished by the seller but manufactured by others are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

• 5-year steel frame components, motion mechanism, and casters

Scope Technologies, hereinafter "Scope," warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase by the Original Purchaser, “Original Purchase Date.” Such warranty extends only to the original Purchaser (the first person, firm, or entity to purchase furniture from Scope or a Scope authorized dealer) upon satisfactory compliance with the following conditions:

1. The warranty extended hereby covers only the “Frame Assembly” i.e. the steel frame components, motion mechanism, casters, and related support components and such other material as are attached directly to the Frame Assembly.
2. Accessories not manufactured by Scope are covered only by the warranties extended by the manufacturers of such components, and not by Scope.
3. No warranty is extended for damage caused by operator error in failing to torque tighten all bolts, check condition, fabric condition, caster abilities and all other conditions normally associated with normal furniture operation. Additionally, operator error in failing to properly follow safety standards as prescribed by federal regulations and weight specifications shall void any warranty otherwise made herein.
4. This warranty shall not apply to any damage due to loading in excess of the weight capacity displayed on the product specifications. Use of the furniture for any purpose not intended shall constitute misuse and shall void this warranty.
5. This warranty shall be automatically void if any modification to the furniture is made without prior written authorization for such from Scope.
6. Only a Scope authorized dealer or representative who has received prior written authorization from Scope for such specific service or repair, or one of Scope’s factory locations, shall be authorized to service or correct any defect in material or workmanship found in any furniture covered by this warranty.
7. Prior written authorization from Scope for any specific repairs and/or adjustments shall be received before any reimbursements shall be made.
8. This warranty does not cover any economic loss including without limitation; payment for the loss of time or pay, inconvenience, loss of furniture use, furniture rental expense, lodging bills, meals, other travel costs, storage charges and other incidental or consequential loss or damage of whatsoever nature.
9. Scope and its authorized dealers reserve the right to make design changes in furniture built and/or sold by them at any time without incurring any obligation to make the same or similar changes to furniture previously built and/or sold by them.
10. This warranty shall apply, and service and/or repairs shall be made only upon prior written approval by Scope. All warranty issues must be reported to Scope within 30 days of occurrence. Scope, at its option, prior to approval for service and/or repairs pursuant to this warranty, may require delivery of the damaged part, freight pre-paid, to Scope’s factory location, 2135 Industrial Parkway / Elkhart, IN 46516, providing the damaged furniture for inspection by Scope’s authorized representative at Scope’s factory location or at a location selected by Scope or by providing color photographs of the damaged furniture or to or from any alternative location Scope may designate as a location for service and/or repair of the damaged furniture.

THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR OF IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF FITNESS AND MERCHANTABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE; AND IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE TERM SPECIFIED HEREIN, AND NO PERSON, FIRM, OR ENTITY IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY FURTHER OR ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES ON BEHALF OF SCOPE TECHNOLOGIES.
